As you may have gathered, we've been doing quite a lot of internal work at eZ over the last year. Aleksander came back as CEO and we have been rethinking and strengthening  eZ’s Organisation and Product Strategy (which is where most of my involvement came in), and also how we articulate our business model on top of an open-source project.

The episode #18 of The eZ Publish Show was an excellent example why I am doing this show. Sometimes it looks like it doesn't make sense to spend time on this due to not so big audience. But episodes like the one we aired yesterday proved otherwise. There was some problems due to recent changes in Google+ Hangout but we managed to record it and the video is now available on Youtube.

Topic of the show was Road to eZ Publish version 5.3, I tried to get some info on what we will get with the next version from Roland Benedetti, Product Lead in eZ Systems and Bård Farstad, Head of Innovation Board. The main idea behind this episode was to learn important roadmap information in a informal discussions with guys who are steering the product.

Today is “Release Day” for Enterprise Edition!

While eZ Publish Community Project is updated and published every month  - which is a regular expression of what we, the eZ Community & eZ Engineers, are building very successfully, we have our share of guilty pleasure in the release of the Enterprise Edition.

The volume of contributions is constantly increasing in our Community. Primed by the move to Github, the trend is set, and the number of pull-requests merged in last year was multiplied by several dozens (no, there is no typo) compared to the previous year. The trend is confirmed this year, and as more and more pull-requests are submitted, the Community Project Board decided to back the existing set of tools & resources with a dedicated team: more care, more responsiveness, more fun...and more innovation !
