In order to increase the image serving performance of high-traffic websites and improve the editorial user interface around image management, Mugo Web came up with an alternative way to serve content images in eZ Publish.  It is aptly titled the "Mugo Image Server for eZ Publish".

As (among other things) mentioned in the "Technology Outlook" blog, we have been wanting to increase our level of support for broader configurations to run eZ Publish Platform on. Today we can present the first of several such steps, with the introduction of support for an additional platform.

As announced on Twitter and Google+ a week ago, the Planet eZ Publish.fr (the french version of Planet eZ Publish.org) is now powered by eZ Publish 5 (actually, it's build from git clones from 2012-12-04 so it's a version somewhere between 5.0 and the future 2012.11/2012.12 versions).

Each time there’s a need to get a list of articles/users/comments in eZ Publish, we use fetch functions. Fetch function can be used in a template (http://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/Technical-manual/4.x/Reference/Modules/content/Fetch-functions/listhttp://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/Technical-manual/4.x/Reference/Modules/content/Fetch-functions/tree) and PHP code (https://github.com/ezsystems/ezpublish/blob/master/kernel/classes/ezcontentobjecttreenode.php#L1837). That’s why problems may arise, when you need to fetch a lot of nodes.
